Bird Walk at Sodalis Nature Preserve
DATE AND TIME
05/25 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
A Bird-watching walk will be 8 a.m. May 25 at Sodalis Nature Preserve
Human babies cry when they’re hungry, what about baby birds? What do bird parents feed their young and when can they fly and feed themselves? While looking and listening to the morning birds, we’ll also see if we can spot or hear any baby birds.
The trail starts at the Sodalis Nature Preserve parking lot, follows along Bear Creek and is paved and level. The program will be about 1.5 hours. How far we go depends on how slow we go!
These programs are led by Hannibal Parks and Recreation’s Interpreter Guide, Gale Rublee, and members of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalist chapter.
Programs are free and open to the public but participation is limited. Register for space at www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program

Scavenger Hunts
The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the Hannibal parks. Hannibal children, along with visitors to Hannibal, will have a chance to explore our parks in a different way. These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!
Here are the scavenger hunts available so far (check back for future additions).
