Family Nature Program

DATE AND TIME

07/27 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

A Family program called Creek Walking will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27.
Rublee said, “One of the best summer activities in Missouri is walking a creek. Put on your water shoes or old sneakers and join us for a walk in Bear Creek. We will walk for about an hour exploring the creek, turning over a few rocks to see what critters we might see, and looking for treasure. Maybe we’ll find one of the button shells or some animal bones! “
Children must accompanied by an adult and wear appropriate foot protection, no flip flops.
These programs are led Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalist chapter.
Programs are free and open to the public but participation is limited. Register for space at www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program

Scavenger Hunts

The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the Hannibal parks. Hannibal children, along with visitors to Hannibal, will have a chance to explore our parks in a different way. These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!

Here are the scavenger hunts available so far (check back for future additions).
