The first Century 21 Pickleball Tournament was a success, with every division sold out and players coming to Hannibal from around the Tri-State area.
Angela Broughton Peters, one of the organizers, said. “We were thrilled with how well this first year went! Everyone had so much fun and we plan to make it an annual event!”
The tournament was in Huckleberry Park. There were food trucks, children’s games and raffles, along with all the pickleball play. The tournament raised almost $4,000 for the United Way of the Mark Twain Area and Adams County.
The winners and categories were:
Beginner Doubles: first, Stacie and Drake Robertson; second, Angela and Ben Thompson; third, Jane Crowe and Kris Potterfield
Intermediate Doubles: first, Drew and Grant Meisner; second, Dawson and Taylor Wood; third, Rogert Lunt and Wayne Harbourn
Advanced Doubles: first, Jarret Porter and Jacob Hammock, second, Jamie Nemes and Andrew Vonderheid; third Jordan Cochrum and Blake Huskey

Intermediate Doubles: first, Drew and Grant Meisner; second, Dawson and Taylor Wood; third, Rogert Lunt and Wayne Harbourn
